ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR TOPS COUNCIL RESIDENTS' CONCERNS

Anti-social behaviour was voted the biggest concern among council residents at the Association of Retained Council Housing (ARCH) Annual Tenants' and Residents' Conference in Derby.

The poll was conducted among 120 delegates who met at Pride Park Stadium last week to share their views on the future of council housing.

Residents ranked repairs, rent levels, environmental issues and community issues as their next highest priorities.

The results were as follows:

  1. - Crime and Anti-social behaviour - noise nuisance / youth issues / fear of crime
  2. - Repairs & maintenance - speed & quality of service
  3. - Rent levels - amount of rent / benefits service
  4. - Environment and green issues - graffiti, recycling/ lighting
  5. - Community Issues - access to housing for family members / cohesion / education
