The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, has announced
that the 2018 Autumn Budget will take place on Monday 29 October
2018.
This is earlier than expected and will take place on a Monday
rather than the traditional Wednesday.
The Budget comes ahead of the closing date for responses to the
Social Housing Green Paper on 6 November and it remains to be seen
whether the Chancellor will make any further announcements to boost
the supply of social housing in addition to the recent announcement
by the Prime Minister of an additional £2billion long term
financing for the housing association sector.
