Last month, ARCH Chair, Councillor Paul Ellis wrote to the new
Housing Minister, Gavin Barwell, to seek a meeting to discuss how
stock retaining councils can work with the government to increase
the supply of new housing and help meet their ambition of
delivering a million new homes by 2020, suggesting a re-setting of
policy on pay to stay and housing investment following the ooutcome
of the EU Referendum.
We're pleased to inform ARCH members that the Minister has
responded positively and a date for the meeting has been set for
Wednesday 12 October 2016.
Update 14 October 2016: meeting rearranged to 21
November 2016 at Minister's request.
