The ARCH stock retained conference is on Thursday 3 and Friday 4
December 2015 at the University of Warwick in Coventry. The AGM
will be held in the evening of Thursday, 5.30pm at Scarman House,
Warwick University. Lead officers and members in each member
council will have received notice and papers for the AGM in October
via email. Our members are entitled to a free place.
The Housing and Planning Bill, the Welfare Reform and Work Bill
and the government's proposals for changes in social rent policy,
sale of high value council housing, introduction of a mandatory
'pay to stay' scheme and flexible (fixed term) tenancies will
change the operating environment beyond all recognition, presenting
the greatest challenge to the future of council housing in the past
decade.
This year's conference, held in association with HouseMark, will
explore the new landscape to help ensure that stock retained
councils are in the best possible position to respond to these
challenges.
