Places at this year's annual Tenant Group Conference and
Awards are going fast and if you haven't already booked your place
already, now is the time to do so. It will be held in Croydon
on Wednesday 23 September.
Book now.
We're also looking for further nominations for the Tenant
Awards and encourage any council who has not yet submitted a
nomination for the awards to do so as soon as
possible.
The awards are not only about celebrating success, they're also
an opportunity for tenants of housing providers to learn from each
other's work and to replicate successful initiatives. They
represent your chance to tell others about some of the positive
improvements that can be made as a result of tenant involvement as
well as countering some of the negative messages and unfair images
of council housing that is often portrayed in the media.
It gives councils an opportunity to raise their profile as an
exceptional landlord supporting and empowering tenants to help
develop housing and community services that make a real
difference to local people's lives
John Bibby ARCH CEO, said: "Nominations and winners of the
awards will be publicised after the Conference on social media, the
ARCH website and e-bulletin and promoted via the housing
press. It's a great opportunity to fly your flag and promote the
value of tenant involvement and the great things that
individuals and their landlords can achieve and the
impact that tenants and their councils working
together can have on their local communities and housing
services."
