The ARCH Tenants' Group held their last meeting of the year in
November and welcomed potential new member, Chris Gould from
Norwich City Council. Chris attended as an observer and we hear is
going to join the Group which is great news.
The Group got their teeth into discussions about the latest
developments on pay to stay and welcomed the decision by the
government not to proceed with a mandatory scheme. The Group also
discussed the latest on the government's plans to introduce
fixed-term tenancies and other policy areas with John Bibby, ARCH
chief executive, who attends the meetings.
"This year we've been particularly busy with all the new
legislation as well as planning and hosting our Tenants' Conference
at Leamington Spa. We're now looking forward to another busy year
in 2017 hoping to influence any new changes which affect
