ARCH to meet DCLG officials 06/08/2015

Following representations to the Housing Minister by ARCH Chairman, Councillor Paul Ellis, we'll be meeting with DCLG officials in September to discuss how the government's recent announcements affect council housing and stock retained councils. This includes plans for the sale of high value stock, one percent rent reductions and the impact on business plans, introduction of the "Pay to Stay" scheme and the review of lifetime tenancies. We'll provide feedback on the outcome following the meeting.

The ARCH Board is grateful to the ARCH members who completed our recent survey on the likely impact of the compulsory sale of high value stock and the District Council Network/ARCH survey on the impact of the one percent rent reduction announced in the Summer Budget.

If your council has any further information or evidence of the impact of these proposals that you'd like to bring to the attention of DCLG officials, please email John Bibby, ARCH CEO by the end of August:
