ARCH has been invited to meet MHCLG officials to discuss what is
needed to encourage the professionalism of housing management,
neighbourhood management and tackling anti-social behaviour and
other related matters raised in Chapter 4 of the Social Housing Green Paper.
The Governments Social Housing Green Paper (Chapter 4) posed
several questions relating to issues of how to tackle stigma and
celebrate thriving communities including:
- What is needed to further encourage the professionalism in
housing to ensure all staff deliver a good quality of service
(Question 39)
- What key performance indicators should be used to measure
whether landlords are providing good neighbourhood management?
(Question 40)
- Should landlords report on the social value they deliver?
(Question 41)
- How are landlords working with local partners to tackle
anti-social behaviour and what key performance indicators should be
used to measure this work? (Question 42)
ARCH Chief Executive John Bibby has been invited to meet with
senior official in the MHCLG responsible for taking forward work on
these particular questions raised in the Social Housing Green Paper
and we would welcome views and comments from ARCH member councils
on these issues.
