The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, has confirmed
that he will present his first Autumn Statement to Parliament on 23
November 2016.
The Treasury has also issued guidance for organisations wishing to submit
representations on Government policy and/or suggestions for new
policies for inclusion in the upcoming Statement.
Any representations must be made by Friday 7 October
2016.
The Chancellor has previously indicated a need to "re-set" the
government's economic policy following the decision to leave the
European Union. ARCH will continue to make the case for investment
in council housing to support the government's ambition of
delivering a million new homes in the life of this
Parliament.
