EHRC inquiry into housing for disabled people 02/03/2017

There is currently a severe shortage of housing suitable for disabled people. To help understand the reasons why and improve the situation, we previously shared that the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) was intending launching a formal inquiry into housing for disabled people.

As part of our evidence gathering, the EHRC has now launched three surveys for:

  • Individuals
  • Organisations that work with, support or have an interest in disability issues
  • Housing providers

By sharing your insights and experiences with the EHRC, you'll be helping to influence this important inquiry and inform the recommendations.

A survey should take around 20 minutes to complete. All the responses received by the EHCR will be treated as strictly confidential and no individual or organisation will be identified in the final report without their consent.

We urge all ARCH members to complete the survey for housing providers and encourage any individual tenant to complete the survey for individuals - particularly if you have, or support someone who has, an interest in disability issues.
