The ARCH Tenants' Group met earlier this month to discuss a
range of issues including how ARCH might influence the government's
future social rent policy after 2020.
The group made further progress
on planning this year's ARCH Tenants' Conference to be held in
Birmingham on 20 September 2017.
The group also received a
presentation from the Tenant Services Manager at Kettering Borough
Council, Leona Mantle, and Chair of the Council's Overview and
Scrutiny Panel, Martyn Lund (who is also a member of the ARCH
Tenants Group) on their achievements around tenant engagement
within the context of the regulatory Tenant Involvement and
The group's chair, Jenny Hill,
"Sharing the good work and
achievements of our councils and their tenants helps us all to look
at potential ways that we may deliver services differently. We can
also promote the excellent work that councils deliver, working with
tenants and other members of the community."
Minutes from the meeting will be
available on the Tenants' Group area.
We also closed nominations to
join the ARCH Tenants' Group. We'll share details of the
nominations received soon. All nominees will be invited to the
group's Annual General Meeting in June where the membership of the
group for 2017-2019 will be ratified and confirmed. Watch this
space for more information.
