The ARCH Tenants' Group held their first meeting of the
year on the 22 February. The topics discussed included a
presentation on the legislative changes currently progressing
through parliament by John Bibby, ARCH CEO, followed by discussions
regarding the potential impact on the sector.
Other items discussed were new members update, producing a
leaflet for tenants by tenants explaining the new legislation and
planning the September 2016 conference. You can view the minutes here.
The ARCH Tenants Group now has 15 members including new members
who attended for the first time on the 22 February: Jean Norton
from Basildon Council, Stella Parkin from Rotherham Council and
Dave Murtagh, Brighton and Hove Councils. Tenant representatives
from Northumberland County council also attended the meeting as
observers and have since advised that they want to join the Tenants
Group which is great news.
