Latest figures from the Ministry of Housing, Communities &
Local Government show that councils sold an estimated 2,417
dwellings under the RTB in Quarter 2 of 2018-19 (July to September
2018).
This is a decrease of 22% on the same quarter of 2017-18.
Sales generated £205.3 million in the quarter - 17% lower than
the £247.3 million in the same quarter of the previous year.
The average receipt per dwelling sold in the period was
£84,900.
Compared to the 2,317 dwellings sold in the quarter there were
only 1,160 dwellings started on site as part of the government's
Right to Buy replacement policy.
