The ARCH Tenants Group held their first meeting of the New Year
on 8 January at the Chartered Institute of Housing offices in
Amongst the items on a busy agenda, the Group received a
presentation from members of the Stevenage Borough Council Customer
Scrutiny Panel detailing the tenant scrutiny arrangements in
Stevenage and how tenants there are actively involved in
scrutinising the council's housing landlord functions to help
maintain and improve services to tenants.
Among other matters discussed, the Group also:
- Gave further consideration to the potential venue for the 2018
ARCH Annual Tenant Conference.
- Received feedback on matters discussed at the ARCH Executive
- Received an update on the latest announcements on government
housing policy and legislation
- Considered the ARCH Tenant Group involvement in the Benefit to
Society Campaign and discussions with the National Tenants
Organisations on re-establishing a National Tenant Voice
