As reported in previous
ARCH bulletins, we met with DCLG officials on 20 April for
further discussions on HRA flexibilities/bespoke housing deals and
had a useful dialogue on some of the technical details including an
initial draft template on which bids might be assessed.
However, following the decision to call a snap General Election,
we will not now be meeting again with DCLG officials on this matter
until after the Election. However, we look forward to continuing
our discussions at that time.
A date for the next meeting with DCLG is being arranged for late
June and in the meantime, we plan to meet with our colleagues at
the CIH, CIPFA and the NFA and the three pathfinder organisations
(Sheffield City Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Newark and
Sherwood Homes) to refine our proposals.
