ARCH members Wokingham and Stevenage have both been named as
2023 winners in the prestigious Affordable Housing
Awards organised by Ocean Media.
Wokingham's award is for "excellence in community-led
decision-making' in recognition of the achievements of its Tenant
Charter and Tenant and Landlord Improvement Panel. The council's
TLIP is a partnership of council staff, councillors, Wokingham
Borough Council tenants, the voluntary sector and housing
associations. Set up in the early 2000s, the partnership ensures
tenants are part of decision making and have a voice in the
services their landlord provides, ensuring improvements are
identified, developed and implemented. One of the many projects the
Tenant Volunteers have been involved in is the Tenant Charter,
which was updated in 2022. More information about the TLIP and the

of the ARCH Tenants Group.
Stevenage has won the award of Council of the Year.
