ARCH has been working with CIH and the CIPFA (Chartered
Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) to assess the impact
of recent government policy changes on council housing business
plans.
Stock owning councils were recently asked by the CIH and CIPFA
to complete a questionnaire to compare their plans at the time of
self-financing with its now current plans, taking into account the
revisions made in response to government policy changes.
They requested responses to be sent by Friday 8 April and to
date, have had replies from 23 local authorities. If we're to make
the case for council housing, it's vital that we receive as many
survey responses as possible from housing providers.
So we're asking all ARCH members, who haven't yet done so, to
complete the survey as soon as possible and to send in their
responses within the next 14 days if possible (Friday 13 May).
The survey must be completed by a member of staff familiar with
the council's revised Business Plan, especially those for
investment in new or existing stock.
View the survey and covering letter in the
members' area.
If you have any questions about the survey please contact ARCH
