The Ministry of Housing and Communities Local Government (MHCLG) and Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) are jointly consulting on a package of reforms to the Energy Performance of Buildings regime, which sets the rules covering the production of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for domestic and some non-domestic buildings.  The consultation proposes to update EPC metrics, refine the requirements for EPCs, improve data management protocols and strengthen quality control.  The consultation runs until 26 February.
