ARCH has joined with the Chartered Institute of Housing, National Federation of ALMOs and Councils with ALMOs Group in writing to Housing and Energy Ministers to underline the argument put in recent responses to consultation on Decent Homes and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards that, even if a rent convergence policy is approved in the forthcoming Budget, additional funding will still be required to bring all council stock up to the new standards and build the new social homes that are so badly needed.
