Consultation on the provision of information on tenants’ rights – Government response
Last year DLUHC consulted on a direction to the Regulator of Social Housing that would require councils to provide information to tenants on their rights, including their right to make a complaint against their landlord.
High Rise Buildings: Safety Case Toolkit
The Building Safety Regulator has published a Safety Case Toolkit to help officers responsible for preparing safety case reports for existing high-rise buildings.
Awaab’s Law: consultation on timescales for repairs
On 9 January DLUHC issued a consultation paper proposing mandatory timescales for landlords to respond to residents’ complaints of hazards to health or safety in their homes.
Future Homes Standard: consultation
On 13 December 2023, DLUHC launched a consultation on plans for achieving the Future Homes Standard and Future Buildings Standard, which will require that new homes will meet much more stringent requirements on energy use.
Home Energy Conservation Act Survey: reminder
The Home Energy Conservation Act requires all local authorities to provide and publish information on the energy conservation measures they have adopted to improve the energy efficiency of residential accommodation in their area.
