Regulator publishes new consumer standards for social landlords On 29 February the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) published the final versions of the new consumer standards against which social landlords will be regulated from 1 April 2024, alongside further details of its planned approach to regulation, including inspections.

In preparation for full implementation of the new regulatory regime for social housing, the Regulator of Social Housing will shortly be writing to all registered providers with the names of their key contacts for regulatory purposes.
On 7 February, DLUHC launched a consultation on a new competency and conduct standard for senior housing managers.
In the last issue of the Bulletin we reported that DLUHC had published proposals to implement Awaab’s Law by introducing mandatory timescales for responding to hazards to health or safety in the home.
