Bookings are open for the 2026 ARCH Chief Officers Conference, which will be held from Thursday 15 to Friday 16 October at the Scarman House Conference Centre, Warwick University, CV4 7SH.

The event is open to senior housing officers from local authorities and ALMOs.  The delegate fee is £499 + VAT, including all meals and overnight accommodation on Thursday 15 October.  For each delegate place they pay for, ARCH member councils get an additional place free.

The conference will run from 11.00 a.m. on 15 October to 1 p.m. on 16 October. Confirmed speakers include:

Becky Perks, Deputy Director, Local Authority Housing, MHCLG on Andy Burnham’s plans for the ‘biggest council housebuilding programme since the postwar period.

Angela Holden, Director of Regulatory Engagement, RSH on the experience of inspection so far and plans for the future.

Lucy Hancock, Head of Redress, Social Housing Quality, MHCLG on Awaab’s Law Phases 2 and 3.

Steve Partridge, Head of Housing Consultancy, Savills, on whether sustainable council housing finance is an impossible dream.

Other planned sessions will cover the challenge of AI, getting tenant scrutiny right, surviving local government reform and ending homelessness.
